Hybrid cats of light

Our hybrid entangled states of light have just appeared in an article by M. Bellini, L.S. Costanzo, and A. Zavatta on the September issue of the Italian edition of Scientific American (Le Scienze).

The “cat” (“gatto” in Italian) refers to the close analogy of our states with the puzzling situation described by Erwin Schrödinger in 1935, where the fate of a macroscopic classical cat is entangled with that of a microscopic quantum particle.
